The Gila River Rise Up Scholarship
Take advantage of the Gila River Rise Up Scholarship. In partnership with InStride, community members can now access an exclusive 20% scholarship to Arizona State University Online. Community members may also be eligible for additional financial assistance through the Gila River Indian Community Higher Education Program. For more information on eligibility for the GRIC Higher Education Program, reach out to a Student Advisor at the Tribal Education Department.

Whether you’re finishing your degree or starting your higher education path, the Rise Up scholarship is applicable for all community members. Be sure to mention any previously taken courses at ASU or other higher education institutions as these courses are eligible for transfer credit.
And don’t forget, apply to ASU by September 15 to allow ample time for the application process. Community members also taking advantage of the Gila River Indian Community Higher Education Program must be accepted to ASU and have submitted all necessary documents to the Tribal Education Department by November 1.

Members of the Gila River Indian Community should submit a request for information and begin the application process. Members should also follow the approval process set out by the Tribal Education program to see if they are eligible for 100% tuition coverage.
